Well this is the day of the mighty winds of spirit to come upon us. This Sunday is the Christian celebration of Pentecost. This is the day when the Holy Spirit appeared before the disciples of Jesus in the form of tongues of fire over their heads. They were each given gifts of knowledge and insight to not only heal themselves but to help heal others. This included the ability to speak different languages. It is a powerful story found in the book of Acts of the Bible.
The Holy Spirit or a Divine Wind or Breath is a concept found in many traditions. The name may be different but the concept is the same. The Divine comes into the lives of those who make themselves available to it. We all have the ability to access the power of God in a very tangible way. James, today is Pentecost.
