Ironman Coeur D Alene. These Idaho communities have embraced this race and there is good evidence that Ironman has been adopted into the identity and culture of the host communities. Ironman banners hang from street-posts and the local businesses. Welcoming signs and daily Ironman related articles pop-up in the local papers days before the race. An increasing number of local volunteers return the following year, shedding the volunteer t-shirt and exchanging it for a race number. And yearly, over 3,000 enthusiastic volunteers from the community proudly cater to the needs of the athletes on race day.

Every year about 2,400 athletes from around the world make their way to the Northwest state of Idaho to test themselves on this demanding course. The two-loop swim takes place in picturesque Lake Coeur d'Alene, starting and finishing on the sandy beaches of City Park. The double-looped bike course works its way through Coeur d'Alene and the neighbouring communities to the north. It is deceivingly challenging and makes participants suffer if they haven't paced themselves on the first loop.

Philadelphia Union Opening New with the Stadium. Philadelphia Union opened their brand new PPL Stadium with a pulsating 3-1 win over Sounders FC in Chester, Pennsylvania. 18,500 people packed into the new field on the banks of the Delaware River and saw second half goals from Sebastien Le Toux, Fred, and Danny Mwanga cancel out a first half effort from Pat Noonan.

The home side now have their third win of the season and join DC United on ten points. Sounders remain on 15, five ahead of Chivas USA the only side behind them in the west.

Their last piece of luck was that this match only finished 3-1 to Philadelphia Union.

The Travel Channel’s hit show Man vs. Food was in Syracuse earlier this week to film an episode for its upcoming third season. One of the places they visited was Wohl Field at Syracuse University’s Lampe Athletics Complex where host Adam Richman donned the legendary #22 jersey to tape a segment with some former Orange lacrosse stars.

They weren’t the only ones to get in on the Man vs. Food fun. SU men’s basketball coach Jim Boeheim also makes a special guest appearance in the episode, which is scheduled to air later this fall.

In Man vs. Food, Richman travels from coast-to-coast to explore the biggest and best eats the U.S. has to offer. Along the way, he attempts some of the craziest eating challenges around.

The third season of Man vs. Food premieres Wednesday, June 16 at 9 p.m. on the Travel Channel.

TCU Baseball Game. The Florida Gators are the first team in the 2010 College World Series. Seven teams will join Florida in the 2010 College World Series, and they will all play for the 2010 Baseball National Championship starting next Saturday Game.Florida came into the 2010 NCAA Baseball Championships as the No. 3 seed playing out of the Gainesville Regional and Super Regional. Now Florida will get the chance to compete against the best college baseball has to offer this year in the 2010 College World Series. The rest of the field will be decided on Sunday and Monday, as the first three Super Regionals are tied at 1-1, and the other brackets Super Regionals head to Game 2 on Sunday afternoon.

Florida was able to defeat Miami in two games, winning 7-2 on Friday in Game 1 and then 4-3 on Saturday in Game 2. Now Florida has to wait for the other Super Regionals to be completed before knowing their next opponent, but with the top two teams still alive, it looks like they could probably be the No. 3 seed in the College World Series. Ending up as the No. 3 seed means that they would be placed in bracket two, and would get to play their first game of the 2010 College World Series on Sunday, June 20th. That game is set for 11 a.m. PST (2 p.m. EST) on ESPN as well as ESPN3.com. Seeded No. 3 in the College World Series would have them playing the No. 6 seed. If either Arizona State or Texas (or both) lose their Super Regionals, it would bump up the seed that Florida receives.

Wisconsin Unemployment. Wisconsin continues to borrow federal money at a record pace to help replenish state’s unemployment fund. The state Department of Workforce Development confirmed that Wisconsin’s unemployment debt has reached $1.42 billion. The projected deficit will be nearly $2.9 billion by the end of 2011.

Wisconsin unemployment benefits pays an average of $290 a week to the jobless. It is funded by employer taxes. Once the fund is depleted, Wisconsin taxpayers could see higher taxes and lower benefits.

Wisconsin’s state unemployment rate dropped in April. Officials say 16,400 jobs were added in the largest one-month jump in more than 14 years. Department of Workforce Development Secretary Roberta Gassman said the evidence signaled the state’s continued economic recovery. Currently, the state unemployment rate is at 8.5%, down 0.3% from March. It’s well below nation’s unemployment rate at 9.9%.

The tornado also damaged a nuclear power plant in Michigan.After the funnel cloud touched the ground it ravaged the town and killing seven people reported dead, one of the deceased is a child,but the numbers could increase with time.

In her latest performance where she gets groped by another dancer, this time around she pretends to be dipping another dancer in an almost romantic kiss at about the 55 second mark of the performance. It's quite clear that Cyrus is once again trying to alter her image, this one throwing her even further away from that "good girl" image that so many parents loved her for. This latest attempt may have finally shed that moniker though.

Richard Dunn Died at Age of 73. Richard Dunn, a longtime character actor who frequently collaborated with comics Tim Heidecker and Eric Wareheim, died Friday after being unconscious several days. He was 73.

His agent of 15 years, William Kerwin, says Dunn had been unconscious at a Hollywood hospital since Sunday. Kerwin didn't immediately know the cause of death.
The lanky, bespectacled actor, listed at 5-foot-10 and 125 pounds on his resume, often appeared on "Tim and Eric Awesome Show, Great Job!" on Cartoon Network's Adult Swim lineup. Dunn also had bit parts on shows including "Nip/Tuck," "Weeds" and "House."
Heidecker wrote on Twitter Friday: "Deeply saddened to announce that our friend Richard Dunn passed away ... this morning." 

Wareheim tweeted: "We'll miss you Dicky Dunn. You'll be in our hearts forever." Later he wrote: "We are making a memorial site where you can send him messages. More news soon. xo."
Kerwin said arrangements were being made to bury Dunn at Hollywood Forever Cemetery, which seemed fitting given his old-school demeanor.
